MushroomID - Mushroom Identifier
Last updated: December 28, 2025
MushroomID ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our MushroomID mobile application (the "App").
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not track you across apps or websites.
When you scan, the app processes the image you provide. The image is transmitted to our backend for identification.
The app uses an app account identifier to prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting). This identifier is not meant to identify you personally.
We may process basic technical diagnostics (such as error codes and request identifiers) to keep the service reliable.
We process data based on your consent and as necessary to provide the core functionality of the app, including mushroom identification, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Scan history and images are saved on your device.
We keep limited server-side counters/logs for reliability and abuse prevention and delete them automatically after a limited period.
Data may be processed on servers operated by our service providers, which may be located outside your country.
We use third-party providers to operate core features:
We use Supabase for backend infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy applies to this processing: https://supabase.com/privacy.
We use Google Gemini API for image understanding and identification. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We use RevenueCat for subscriptions and purchase processing. Subscription and billing data is handled by RevenueCat according to their privacy policy. We do not have access to your payment information. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
These providers may process data on our behalf to deliver the service.
Results are generated by AI and may be incorrect. Never consume wild mushrooms based on app output alone. Always verify with a qualified expert.
You can delete scan history and reset the app from Settings → Delete all data.
This removes all data stored locally on your device and triggers deletion of any server-side data associated with your anonymous app account identifier, where applicable.
MushroomID is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
